Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Story:

Based on the Spider-Man character from Marvel Comics, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a forthcoming American superhero movie that will be distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing and co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios. It is slated to be the fourth movie in the MCU Spider-Man film series after Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) and the 38th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Tom Holland plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the picture, which is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and is based on a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, and Tramell Tillman also star.

By August 2019, Sony was working on No Way Home and a fourth MCU Spider-Man movie. Work on the story started in December, and producer Amy Pascal announced in November 2021 that it was supposed to be the first of a new trilogy of Holland Spider-Man movies. By February 2023, McKenna and Sommers were back as the movie’ writers, Cretton was brought on as director by October 2024, and the title was revealed in March 2025. Soundstage work will take place at Pinewood Studios in England, while location filming will take place in Glasgow, Scotland, starting in August 2025. As part of Phase Six of the MCU, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated for release in the United States on July 31, 2026.
