The television scores for Spartacus, Leverage, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, Young Hercules, The Librarians TV series, American Gothic, and Jack of All Trades are among the most well-known works by American composer Joseph LoDuca, who was born in 1958. Originally a skilled jazz guitarist from the Detroit, Michigan, USA, area, LoDuca regularly contributes music to the films and television shows of actor Bruce Campbell, producer/director Dean Devlin, producer/director Sam Raimi, and producer/director Robert Tapert. Before working on his first movie, The Evil Dead, he put out a jazz LP called Glisten.
Among LoDuca’s accolades are two Primetime Emmy Awards, eleven Primetime Emmy nominations, and four years in a row of ASCAP’s “Most Performed Underscore” awards.
