Steven S. DeKnight is an American comic book author and filmmaker who was born on October 28, 1965… His most well-known works include the first season of Marvel’s Daredevil and Jupiter’s Legacy for Netflix, as well as the Starz series Spartacus, which includes Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, Spartacus: Vengeance, and Spartacus: War of the Damned.
DeKnight has previously contributed to Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Smallville. Additionally, he was a consultant producer on Joss Whedon’s television series Dollhouse and authored the tale “Swell” for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight comic series.
According to reports in May 2014, DeKnight was taking up showrunning responsibilities for the first season of the Netflix television series Daredevil from Drew Goddard, who had left the show owing to schedule difficulties with Sinister Six. Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez later took his place as co-showrunners for the second season of the show.
