Australian actor Todd James Lasance was born on February 18, 1985. He is most known for his appearances on Australian television, such as Major Sydney “Syd” Cook on ANZAC Girls, Cam Jackson on Rescue: Special Ops, Aden Jefferies on Home and Away, and Ben McMahon on Crownies. Additionally, he has acted in American television shows as Edward Clariss/Rival on The Flash, Julian on The Vampire Diaries, and Julius Caesar on Spartacus: War of the Damned. After a charity livestream for Black Summer in 2020, he and his Spartacus co-star Liam McIntyre collaborated to develop the gaming series Get Good for the CouchSoup YouTube channel. He presently plays Sergeant Jim “JD” Dempsey in the NCIS: Sydney television series on Network 10/Paramount+.
Lasance debuted as an actor in the teen drama series Blue Water High in 2006. One of his most well-known roles was that of Aden Jefferies in the Seven Network soap opera series Home and Away in 2007. He would join Seven as a regular for the 2008 season, the network announced in October 2007. He received the Logie Award for Most Popular Actor in May 2009. Lasance declared in December 2009 that he was leaving the series in order to pursue an acting career in the United States. On December 11, 2009, he shot his last sequences.
