Marisa Ramirez

Biography:

American actress Marisa Maguire Ramirez was born on September 15, 1977 and is well-known for her roles in television soap operas and Detective Maria Baez on the police procedural drama series Blue Bloods. After graduating from All Saints Catholic School, Ramirez went to Ramona Convent Secondary School, an all-girls institution in Alhambra, California. Following the split of her parents, she was raised by her mother. She has identified as Irish, Mexican, and American Indian.  She went to a New Kids on the Block show as a teenager, which included Donnie Wahlberg, her future Blue Bloods co-star and frequent scene partner.
