American cinematographer Brett Pawlak is well-known for his work on both indie and commercial motion pictures. He frequently worked with filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, and he became well-known for his cinematography on Short Term 12 (2013), which achieved a genuine look by utilizing handheld camerawork and natural lighting. He established the visual aesthetic of This Is Us in 2016 as the show’s cinematographer for the pilot episode. Later, Pawlak and Cretton collaborated on Just Mercy (2019), a film that used character-driven cinematography. He was revealed as Wonder Man’s director of photography by Marvel Studios in 2023.
