Biography:

American actress and singer Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman was born on September 1, 1996. Among her honors are a Golden Globe and two Primetime Emmys. She was listed as one of the 100 most influential persons in the world by Time in 2022.

Zendaya started her career as a backup dancer and child model after growing up in Oakland, California. She appeared as K.C. in the Disney Channel sitcom K.C. Undercover (2015–2018) and made her television debut as Rocky Blue in the sitcom Shake It Up (2010–2013). In the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Spider-Man: Homecoming, she made her feature film debut in 2017 as MJ. She later returned for the sequels, Far from Home (2019) and No Way Home (2021). Zendaya is the youngest recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, which she has received twice, for her role as Rue Bennett, a suffering heroin user in the HBO teen drama series Euphoria (2019–present).

In addition, she starred in the romance dramas Malcolm & Marie (2021) and Challengers (2024), the scientific fiction movies Dune (2021) and Dune: Part Two (2024), and the musical The Greatest Showman (2017). Zendaya released the singles “Watch Me” and “Swag It Out” in 2011. The latter was a joint effort with Bella Thorne. Her first studio album, Zendaya, was released in 2013 with a moderate level of popularity after she signed with Hollywood Records in 2012. The album’s single “Replay” peaked at number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States. She co-wrote “Rewrite the Stars” with Zac Efron for the 2017 soundtrack to The Greatest Showman, which peaked at number 20 on multiple record charts and achieved multi-platinum sales certifications worldwide. Additionally, she wrote and sang a number of Euphoria songs.
