American actor Nick Emad Tarabay was born in Lebanon on August 28, 1975. He is well-known for his roles as Cotyar in the science fiction television series The Expanse on Amazon Prime Video and Ashur in the Starz television series Spartacus. Tarabay was born into a big family in Beirut, Lebanon. His younger brother, parents, and a sizable extended family of cousins, uncles, and aunts all call Lebanon home. After high school, he relocated to New York. He worked as a clothing salesman for Gucci and Hugo Boss, attended the T. Schreiber Studio to learn acting, and performed in Off-Off-Broadway productions.
