Born on August 27, 1959, Peter Mensah is a British-Ghanian actor who currently resides in Canada. His portrayal of Oenomaus on the Starz television series Spartacus (2010–2013) is what made him most famous. In addition, he starred in movies like Gladiator II, 300, Avatar, The Incredible Hulk, Hidalgo, and Tears of the Sun.
Mensah hails from an academic family and was born in Chiraa, Ghana. He was born in the Brong Ahafo Region and, at an early age, relocated to Hertfordshire, England, with his mother, a writer, two younger sisters, and father, Peter Osei Mensah, an architect and engineer. When Mensah was six years old, he started martial arts training. Originally studying engineering, Mensah came to Canada to work as an engineer for British Gas, building gas fields at Morecambe Bay, despite having participated in play in school.
