Biography:

Actress and director Lucille Frances Lawless MNZM (née Ryan) was born in New Zealand on March 29, 1968. Her most well-known roles are those of Lucretia in Spartacus: Blood and Sand and related television series, D’Anna Biers in the reimagined Battlestar Galactica series, and Xena in the television series Xena: Warrior Princess. She has played Alexa in the TV show My Life Is Murder since 2019.

Lawless played Countess Palatine Ingrid Von Marburg on the WGN America supernatural thriller Salem (2015) and Diane Lewis-Swanson on the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation (2012–2014). Additionally, from 2015 to 2018, she played Ruby in the horror-comedy Ash vs. Evil Dead television series on Starz.
