Former Indian actor Chandrasekhara Rao (born May 23, 1945) is most known for his performances in Telugu films. He has won two Nandi Awards and one Filmfare Award South. His performances in commercial successes like Rangula Ratnam (1966), for which he won the state Nandi Award for Best Actor, Padaharella Vayasu (1978), for which he got the Filmfare Best Actor Award (Telugu), and Siri Siri Muvva (1978), were well-received by critics. Naalai Namadhe, a Tamil film, was his debut effort. Seetamalakshmi (1978), Ram Robert Rahim (1980), Radha Kalyanam (1981), Rendu Rellu Aaru (1986), and Chandamama Raave (1987) are a few of the films in which he played the principal actor.
Mallampalli Chandrasekhara Rao, well known as Chandra Mohan, was born on May 23, 1945, in the Andhra Pradesh village of Pamidimukkala, in the Krishna district. He attended the Y.V.R.M.Z.P. High School in Meduru for his education. He received his degree from the Bapatla Agriculture College. He has an older sister named Satyavathi as well as a brother named Chinnayya. He is K. Viswanath, a seasoned director,’s relative.
Rangula Ratnam, a 1966 Telugu movie, introduced Chandra Mohan to the industry. He got accolades for his performance as the protective brother of Vanisri in Sukha Duhkalu in 1968.
Chandra Mohan has won numerous accolades, including the 2005 Raghupathi Venkayya Award, the 2005 Nandi Award for Best Character Actor (for Athanokkade), and the 1978 Filmfare Award for Best Actor (for Padaharella Vayasu).
Chandra Mohan has appeared in a few Telugu television series. He previously appeared in the Gemini TV series Anubandhalu, and he presently plays Kameshwara Shastri in the ZEE Telugu series Gangatho Rambabu.
He also worked on a film called “Thiranottam” in 1978, which was directed by Ashok Kumar and starred “Mohanlal” but was never released because of production-related problems. Additionally, he portrayed Kameshwara Shastri in the Gangato Rambabu television programme for the “Zee Telugu” channel. Despite having appeared in more than 200 films to date, he continues to express a desire to work more. He claims that after 50 years in the field, he will retire from his current position. He currently portrays an elderly character in films.
