The 50th richest billionaire in the world, Ghattamaneni Vishnu Prasad, is the father of Goutham Ghattamaneni, the only child. He lives a lavish lifestyle in Bangalore, Karnataka, and is emotionless. The daughter of Vishnu Prasad’s business associate Mudra, Mugdha, has a strong romantic attachment to Goutham. Goutham insults and slaps a waiter who spills food on his jeans during a party. When the waiter refers to him as a spoilt brat who doesn’t know who he is, Goutham comes to the realisation that without his father, he lacks any sense of self. He hits someone with his car in an attempt to kill himself, and that someone turns out to be his twin Nanda Kishore.
They both tell each other their stories. Nanda is a member of a lower middle class family who resides in a Hyderabad slum with his sister, parents, and the person who is in love with him, Spoorthi. When Nanda’s attempt to create an app fails, his father sends him to Bangalore in search of employment. But he decides to take his own life so that his family can file an insurance claim. Goutham now wants to experience what it’s like to be impoverished because he is tired of living a lavish lifestyle. In order to experience the lifestyle that they have been longing for, the two of them decide to swap lives for a month. Following this, Goutham will be revealed to the world as the only heir to his father’s fortune. Before starting their new lives together, they spend a night in a hotel getting to know one another and putting themselves in each other’s shoes.
Goutham has a difficult beginning, but after hearing some advice from Nanda’s father about staying with Nanda’s family instead of getting a job and going back home, he feels all the feelings he has been waiting for and ends up being a better son than Nanda could have ever been. Nanda, on the other hand, gets off to a great start—that is, until some inquiries from his employees. Spoorthi catches Goutham’s attention, while Nanda falls in love with Mugdha. Mudra and Goutham’s CSO Gowda are plotting Goutham’s murder in the meantime. They realise that Goutham had taken Nanda’s place after an unsuccessful attempt to kill Nanda, whom they believe to be Goutham, and they intend to kill him in Hyderabad. They fail in their multiple attempts to kill Goutham.
When Goutham discovered an imprint of one of his workout shoes in the mud, he realised that Nanda was also trying to kill him, even though Nanda’s family was the collateral damage. When questioned about it, Nanda admits that he did all of this for financial gain and that, upon learning that Mudra and Gowda were attempting to kill him, he teamed up with them.
