TheatreMitrudu is a 2009 Telugu-language drama film from India, directed by Mahadev and produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the Vaishavi Cinema banner. featuring Priyamani and Nandamuri Balakrishna, with music by Mani Sharma. Later, this movie had dubbings in Bhojpuri as Phool Aur Kaante and Hindi as Aaj Ka Hindustani.
Industrialist Sai Krishna opens the movie with his adored only daughter Indu studying overseas and hoping for a well-to-do son-in-law. When a fight breaks out, Muni Swamy approaches him to marry Indu to his famed son. Concurrently, Sai Krishna proceeds after forming a good partnership for Indu through attorney Vishwanath. In the interim, a furious Muni Swamy attempts to murder him, hastening a catastrophic mishap, but he escapes unharmed. After a year, Indu sneaks into India and travels to Kumbakonam to see a prominent astrologer since her horoscope has a flaw. The astrologer declares that the solution is for her to wed a remarkable man, who can only be found by his courage and strength.
Now that Indu is back in Malaysia, Aditya, a brave man, is disoriented, depressed, and on the verge of death. Indu knows him, and her star sign indicates that she feels the same way about him. After that, she follows him about while White on Rice affirms his fate for her. Simultaneously, Indu consistently supports his friend Madhu, who is physically handicapped and runs a charity for the impoverished. Aditya is proposed to by Indu, whom she initially rejects but eventually accepts after realising how much she likes him. The two are married. Here, Indu conned Aditya like a fool. Since her spouse’s death is predicted to occur within a month in her horoscope, she has created this play in an attempt to conceal it. She does, in fact, love Madhu despite the fact that he is a fraud, and typical person who has been seduced by her money.
Subsequently, Indu and Madhu stealthily disappear into India, but suddenly, Aditya follows. Interestingly, he squares up Madhu to protect Indu and reveal his horrible shade, and he knows everything about Indu even though he is still married to her. When they arrive, an irate Sai Krishna rejects them, almost shooting Indu Aditya bars, and something unusual begins to happen to her. Later, Sai Krishna grants them permission only because his true-blue best friend Keshava requests prints. Taking advantage of it, begrudged Muni Swamy’s mockeries of Sai Krishna. As a result, Aditya patiently listens to the music that he finds too intense, and Indu’s affection increases as well. In any case, Aditya challenges Muni Swamy and exposes his arrogance.
