Gorintaku

Story:

Director V. R. Prathap’s 2008 Telugu-language melodrama Gorintaku has Rajasekhar, Meera Jasmine, Aarthi Agarwal, and Akash in the lead parts.  Starring Shiva Rajkumar, the film was a remake of the popular Kannada film Anna Thangi. The composer of the music is S. A. Rajkumar. The movie, which debuted on July 4, 2008, was a box office hit. With a bonus comedy track featuring Mayilswamy and Aarthi, it was partially reshot, dubbed, and released in Tamil as Maruthani on September 10, 2010.

Plot

The siblings Ashok (Rajasekhar) and Lakshmi (Meera Jasmine) lost their mother (Sujitha) and father, Sarvarayudu (Rajasekhar), a local landlord, when they were young. Lakshmi becomes inseparable from Ashok. Although Lakshmi falls in love with Akash, she makes it plain that she will only love or marry him with her brother’s approval and blessings. On the same day, Ashok marries Nandini (Aarthi Agarwal). Together with Akash’s cousins and sisters-in-law, Aakash and Lakshmi had a lovely life after being married.

Lakshmi has a son and two daughters in a span of seven years. Due to the influence of a Kantham (Hema Choudhary), who stays with Nandini and poses as her aunt, she also falls pregnant but miscarries. Ashok became a fatherless man when Nandini’s uterus was removed. Akash and Lakshmi bring their kids to try to win him over. Akash is imprisoned in a check bounce case when his relatives defraud him and steal the entire property by the time he goes back to their home. Lakshmi and her kids become orphans as a result. As advised by Kantham, Nandini ejects Lakshmi from the house and cautions her against attempting to meet her brother.Having lost all hope of saving her husband and family, Lakshmi and her kids end their lives. After discovering this, Ashok passes away as well, demonstrating their unbreakable bond even in death.
