Theatre“Sambho Siva Sambho” is a 2010 Telugu-language Tollywood film directed by Samuthirakani. The movie features an ensemble cast including Ravi Teja, Allari Naresh, Siva Balaji, Priyamani, Abhinaya, and Surya Teja. It is a remake of the director’s 2009 film “Naadodigal.” The film was released on January 14, 2010, and received mixed reviews from critics. However, it performed well at the box office, becoming a hit with the audience. It was also dubbed in Hindi as “Mera Krodh” in 2012.
The story revolves around three close friends: Karunakar (Ravi Teja), Malli (Allari Naresh), and Chandu (Siva Balaji). Each of them has their own aspirations and goals. Karunakar is in love with his cousin Muniamma (Priyamani), but his father insists that he secure a government job first.
Malli dreams of going abroad once Karunakar obtains his passport, and Chandu aims to establish a computer training center while also being in love with Karunakar’s sister, Pavithra (Abhinaya). The friends enjoy their lives together, hanging out and supporting each other.
Karunakar’s friend Santosh (Surya Teja), the son of the Home Minister (Roja), falls in love with the daughter of their family’s arch-rival. The three friends come together to help unite these lovebirds despite facing numerous obstacles. During the process, they end up facing legal troubles, and Karunakar loses his government job opportunity. Tragedy strikes as Karunakar’s grandmother is killed by henchmen, Malli loses his hearing, and Chandu has to have his leg amputated.
As the days go by, due to ego clashes and misunderstandings, the once-happy married lovers start to despise each other and eventually part ways. The friends, who had sacrificed and lost so much to bring them together, are now consumed by anger and seek revenge. However, in the end, Karunakar chooses to deliver a powerful lecture instead of seeking revenge, and he considers the estranged lovers as already “dead” to them. The friends then leave them to face the consequences of their choices.
The film received mixed to positive reviews from critics, with Sify rating it 4/5 and describing it as entertaining. “Extraordinary Movies” rated it 3/5 and praised the performances of all the actors. Despite being Samuthirakani’s directorial debut in Telugu cinema, the film was considered a success.
