Rama Prabha is an Indian actress who has appeared in films in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. She has appeared in over 1,400 films and is regarded as a character artist who has shared screen space with celebrities from every generation of South Indian cinema throughout the course of her six-decade career. During the 1970s and 1980s, she was a popular Telugu screen couple with comedian Raja Babu. She appeared in Shanti Nilayam and several other films alongside Nagesh beginning in 1968. She appeared in the Hindi film Do Phool alongside Mehmood.
Her father’s sister adopted her when she was one month old, and they relocated to Ooty. Rama spent his youth there until he was 14 years old, when his family moved to Chennai. Currently resides in Vayalpadu, close to Madanapalle.
When Vijaya Chamundeswari was a year old, she adopted her sister’s daughter. Rajendra Prasad, an actor, is Vijaya’s husband.
