Story:

Srikanth Addala’s 2013 Telugu-language family drama film Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, also known by the initialism SVSC, is written and directed by him. Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Anjali, and Samantha appear in the film, which was produced by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations. Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Rao Ramesh, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Abhinaya, and Rohini Hattangadi play supporting parts.

Addala worked on the script for three years after his directorial debut, Kotha Bangaru Lokam (2008), in addition to directing it. He wrote the screenplay, and the dialogue was written by Ganesh Patro. The soundtrack and score were written by Mickey J. Meyer and Mani Sharma, respectively. K. V. Guhan was the film’s cinematographer, while Marthand K. Venkatesh edited it. Production began on October 6, 2011, in Hyderabad; primary photography began on January 18, 2012, in Visakhapatnam, and concluded on December 24, 2012. Scenes were shot in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, in addition to Hyderabad.

Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu was released to mostly positive reviews on January 11, 2013. The film was commercially successful, earning a distributor share of 51 crore on a budget of 40 crore and finishing the year as the second-highest-grossing Telugu film (after Attarintiki Daredi). The film garnered seven nominations at the 61st Filmfare Awards South and eleven nominations at the 3rd South Indian International Movie Awards, where it won two awards: Best Actor Male — Telugu (Mahesh Babu) and Best Playback Singer Female — Telugu (K. S. Chithra). The film received four Nandi Awards, including Best Home-viewing Feature Film.
