Indian media executive Sameer Nair was born in 1965 and serves as the CEO of Applause Entertainment Limited.He was involved in the introduction of the soap operas from Balaji Telefilms and Kaun Banega Crorepati on Star Plus, as well as the redesign of the television networks Star India, Star One, Star Utsav, Star Gold, Star Vijay, and Channel V.

Nair obtained his Higher Secondary Certificate from Wilson High School in Mumbai. He attended St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai from 1982 to 1984 to study physics. He then completed correspondence courses to earn a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Madras while studying hotel management at the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology, and Applied Nutrition in Mumbai. In addition to these subjects, he studied Indian politics and history, which led him to join the Aam Adami Party (AAP).
