Kajal Aggarwal is an Indian actress who predominantly works in the Telugu and Tamil film industries. She was born on June 19, 1985, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, to entrepreneur, Vinay Aggarwal, and a confectioner, Suman Aggarwal, also has a younger sibling named Nisha Aggarwal, who is also a South Indian actress. Kajal Aggarwal pursued her career in acting after completing her graduation in mass media. She also has roots in Amritsar, Punjab, India

Kajal made her acting debut with the Hindi film “Kyun! Ho Gaya Na…” in 2004, directed by Samir Karnik. However, it was her entry into the Telugu and Tamil film industries that brought her significant recognition. She made her Telugu debut with the film “Lakshmi Kalyanam” in 2007 and her Tamil debut with the film “Pazhani” in the same year.

Kajal gained widespread popularity and acclaim with her role in the Telugu film “Magadheera” (2009), directed by S.S. Rajamouli. The film was a massive success and established Kajal as one of the leading actresses in the industry. Her performance in the film earned her several awards and nominations.

On August 2020, she got engaged to Mumbai-based entrepreneur Gautham Kitchlu, and got married on 30 October 2020. Later, Gautam Kitchlu shared a post on social media along with a photo of his engagement day. The couple was blessed with a baby boy on April 19, 2022.
