Brahmotsavam

Story:

Srikanth Addala is the writer and director of the 2016 Indian Telugu family melodrama film Brahmotsavam, which translates to “Festival of Brahma/Grand Celebration.” Under the production company PVP cinema and in collaboration with G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment, Prasad V. Potluri co-produced the movie. Mahesh Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Pranitha Subhash appear at the beginning. The movie’s score was provided by Gopi Sundar, and Mickey J. Meyer wrote the soundtrack CD. The film’s cinematography and editing were done by R. Rathnavelu and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, respectively.

The plot of the movie was modeled by that of Addala’s 2013 film Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, which also starred Mahesh Babu and Samantha. Chantibabu (Sathyaraj) and his mixed family are central to the story. However, one member of the family, Peddabbai (Rao Ramesh), is constantly dissatisfied with how Satyaraj always casts a shadow over him. To gain even more status within the family, he decides to arrange for Pranitha Subhash to marry Babu, Satyaraj’s son. However, things take an unexpected turn when Peddabbai learns that Babu is already in love with Australian NRI Kasi Annapurna. He soon bursts out and vents anger on Chantibabu & Babu for getting low importance in relatives and society due to Chantibabu’s soft nature and reputation. This event leads to an unexpected incident take place because of this issue and disrupts the entire family. Rest of the story deals how Babu tries to takes things in hand and get his family back on track while also discovering his family roots of seven generations all over the country.
