The Summer I Turned Pretty

Story:

Author Jenny Han created the American coming-of-age romance drama television series The Summer I Turned Pretty for Amazon Prime Video. It is based on her trilogy of novels: We’ll Always Have Summer, It’s Not Summer Without You, and The Summer I Turned Pretty. Belly Conklin, a teenage girl in a romantic triangle with brothers Conrad and Jeremiah (played by Christopher Briney and Gavin Casalegno, respectively), is portrayed by Lola Tung.

In 2021, the TV series’ production got underway. The first season, which included seven episodes, debuted on June 17, 2022. Prior to its broadcast, the show was renewed for a second season, which began with eight episodes on July 14, 2023.  The show received a third season renewal in August 2023. The third and final season, which consists of eleven episodes, debuted on July 16, 2025. On September 17, 2025, a full-length movie was revealed as a direct follow-up to the series finale.

Belly Conklin, who will soon turn sixteen, is travelling to Cousins Beach, her favourite spot on earth, to spend the summer with her family and the Fishers. Belly feels that this summer will be different from all previous summers because she has grown up a lot over the past year.
