Biography:

Raghunatha Reddy, born in Vijayawada, goes by the full name Kalakota Raghunatha Reddy. His parents are Krishna Reddy and Samrajyamma, and he is happily married to Annapurna. The couple has three children, namely Sudha Laxmi, Aruna, and Sudhakar Reddy. His mother tongue is Telugu, and he is proficient in Hindi and English as well. He pursued his education up to the PUC level and has a deep-seated passion for reading books.

Raghunatha Reddy is a renowned figure in the Telugu film and television industry. He has made notable contributions to Telugu cinema through his roles in movies such as “Sainikudu,” “Premincukundam Raa,” “Orey Rickshaw Chimala Dandu,” and “Sri Rama Rajyam.”

With a rich history in the field, Raghunatha Reddy has extensive experience on stage spanning from 1966 to 1996. Impressively, he has taken on roles in a remarkable 370 films, predominantly in supportive or character roles. His journey in the film industry began with his debut in the Telugu film “Sarpayagam” in 1991, directed by the Paruchuri Brothers and produced by Rama Naidu. Some of his notable films include “Collector Garu,” “Yuvaratna,” “Pelli Pandhiri,” “Tammudu,” “Raaja Kumarudu,” “Seenu,” “Devi Putrudu,” “Azad,” “Mallishwari,” “Balu,” “Bhadra,” “Goutham SSC,” “Sri Ramadasu,” “Samanyudu,” “Sankham,” “Gaayam2,” “Vastadu Naa Raju,” and more. Interestingly, he has also showcased his acting prowess in Hindi, Bhojpuri, and Tamil films.

Apart from his film endeavors, Raghunatha Reddy has ventured into Telugu television serials. He notably appeared in the Telugu serial “Nanna,” which was aired on Gemini TV. Directed by Muralikrishna Mudidhani and produced by Gunnam Ganga Raju, Raghunatha Reddy portrayed the character of a friend to Siddu’s grandfather in this serial. Additionally, he featured in the serial “Gomatha,” produced by Sri Creations and Kamadenu Arts and directed by P. Uday Bhaskar.
