Plot
Yogendra is the son of High Court judge Panduranga Rao, who placed first in the civil services examinations. Politician Dunnapothula Janardhan Rao falsely accuses Yogi of murder in order to exact revenge on Panduranga Rao, who had previously sentenced him to prison in a corruption case. In order to punish his son, Panduranga Rao sentences him to six years in prison.
Janardhan Rao passes away six years later on the day Yogi is freed from prison. The son of Janardhan Rao, Dunnapothula Dharma Rao, comes to the banks of the Godavari River to visit the ashes.
Yogi thwarts the rites by refusing to participate, and Dharma Rao then challenges Yogi, saying he will mix his father’s ashes in the Godavari before Yogi does so one day when his father is still alive. Yogi falls in love with Anuradha, the independent-minded and strong-willed daughter of Dharma Rao’s goon Kaasi Visweswara Rao, in the meantime.
A girl named Thulasi (Seema) appears out of nowhere and says she is Panduranga Rao’s daughter. Panduranga Rao dismisses her and refuses to believe her. She unwillingly comes out with the parentage claim when pressured by the situation and with Dharma Rao’s encouragement. Initially, Yogi beats the demonstrators
But after learinng the truth from his uncle Gnaneswara Rao, he agrees to take on the responsibility of looking after her as her older brother. Yogi chooses to wed his close buddy Thulasi. Additionally, he approaches his father and gently nudges him to own up to his error and acknowledge Thulasi as his parent.
In the end, Panduranga Rao feels regret and proceeds to confide in his daughter. When Yogi gets home early the following morning, Thulasi is discovered dead. Although Dharma Rao, who killed Thulasi, forced Satya Murthy, Panduranga Rao’s longtime servant, to testify against Panduranga Rao in court, Panduranga Rao is accused of killing her.
However, Dharma Rao planned the entire incident. Close friend and well-known criminal lawyer Jagan enters the courtroom as the defense counsel, canceling his marriage to his girlfriend out of friendship, and prevails in exposing the murderous scheme and the villains’ ulterior motives.
In the end, the court finds Panduranga Rao not guilty of the offense. Following that, Yogi goes back to his father, who now expresses regret for everything he did, including not accepting his son’s innocence. And he passes away at Yogi’s feet.
Dharma Rao shows up at Panduranga Rao’s funeral to make fun of Yogi and attempt to complete the final rites that Janardhan Rao had put off. With Jagan’s assistance, Yogi breaks off the ritual and exacts revenge for the murders of his father and sister.
