Theatre“Preminche Manasu,” which translates to “Loving Heart,” is a Telugu-language film released in 1999. This romantic psychological thriller features Vadde Naveen and Keerthi Reddy in the lead roles and is a remake of the 1998 Tamil film “Priyamudan.” Regrettably, it did not achieve commercial success.
The film’s music is composed by S. A. Rajkumar, with lyrics penned by Seetharama Sastry and Chandrabose. Notably, one of the songs, “Evare Cheli Nuvvevare,” was reused by Rajkumar in the Tamil film “Vaanathaippola” as “Nathiye Nayil Nathiye,” and later in the Telugu film “Maa Annaya” as “Kadhile Andhala Nadhi.”
“Preminche Manasu” was released on July 2, 1999, with the tagline “Loving Heart.” Keerthi Reddy, who had gained popularity with “Tholi Prema,” did not find further recognition through this film or “Ravoyi Chandamama” and subsequently transitioned to working in Hindi films.
The film received a negative review from Griddhaluru Gopala Rao of Zamin Ryot. He found the first half of the film entertaining but noted that it lost its way in the second half. Rao praised the film’s music, lyrics, and picturization in Jaipur. However, he criticized the Telugu pronunciation of the singers and found certain aspects of the plot to be unrealistic.
