TheatreSankranthi is a 2005 Telugu-language drama film from India, directed by Muppalaneni Shiva and produced by R. B. Choudary under Super Good Films. Venkatesh, Srikanth, Siva Balaji, Sharwanand, Sneha, Sangeetha, Aarthi Agarwal, Rathi, Sharada, and Chandra Mohan are among the ensemble cast members in the movie. S. A. Rajkumar created the soundtrack, while B. Balamurugan handled the photography and Nandamuri Hari handled the editing. On February 18, 2005, the movie was released, and it did well at the box office. The 2001 Tamil film Aanandham is being remade.
The eldest of four brothers, Raghavendra operates a makeshift business and shares a house with his parents, Janakamma and Rama Chandraiah. Everyone in the family holds Raghavendra in high regard, and he is credited with turning their financial difficulties around a few years ago. During that time, he also lost his engagement to Padma, who was rejected by her parents because of Raghavendra’s lack of wealth. Raghavendra now weds Anjali, who is far more considerate and responsible towards everyone. The second son in the family, Vishnu, helps Raghavendra run their temporary store.Though Padma’s younger sister Kalyani is his related and he marries her, she is irritable and prone to fights. The family’s third son, Chinna, attends college and develops feelings for his classmate Kaveri, the sole child of wealthy and conceited Govardhan Chowdary. The youngest son, Vamsi attends college.
Because Raghavendra runs the temporary store and Vishnu only helps, Kalyani believes that only Raghavendra is valued by everyone. Vishnu refuses to give in to her persistent demands that he open a different temporary store as doing so would make him different from his siblings. As this is going on, Govardhan learns of Kaveri’s affection for Chinna and advises him to move on from her. Since he does not want to wed Kaveri against her father’s desires, Chinna obtains a job and moves to Delhi.
One day, Kalyani starts a fight at home by accusing Raghavendra of having a secret bank savings account and stealing money from it without telling the other family members. Raghavendra is upset to learn this. The daughter of Kalyani and Vishnu suddenly passes out and needs to be taken to the hospital. It turns out that the youngster had a critical illness that only Raghavendra was aware of. He had been saving money to pay for the child’s medical bills without telling anyone else since he thought others would be concerned if they found out about the condition. When Kalyani realises this, she acknowledges her error and gives Raghavendra an apology for her harsh treatment of him and Anjali.
