Y Kasi Viswanath

Biography:

Indian actor and director Yanamadala Kasi Viswanath specializes in Telugu movies. For more than 25 movies, he served as a co-director, associate director, and assistant director. With the romantic comedy Nuvvu Leka Nenu Lenu (2002), which broke box office records, he made his directorial debut. Then, he oversaw the direction of Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s debut movie, Toli Choopulone (2003). Later, he made the transition to acting, landing his breakout role in Nachavule (2008). He has since appeared in more than 90 movies.

He was born in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh’s Purushottapatnam, Seethanagaram mandal, close to Rajahmundry. He finished his primary school in the community of his birth. He attended the government high school in Polavaram from sixth grade to twelve. Raja Mahendravaram was where he received his B.Com. degree. A movie theater was once owned by his uncles. He enjoyed watching movies from his youth. He would write short scripts and read them to his mother, drawing inspiration from the movies. She gave him support as well.

He observed the Tholi Kodi Koosindi (1981) film’s production while he was a middle school student. The film was directed by K. Balachander. He was influenced by that film, and he and his uncles liked to talk about movies.
