“Bhale Bhale Magadivoy,” a 2015 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film, was written and directed by Maruthi and produced by Bunny Vasu under the banners of GA2 Pictures and UV Creations. The movie features Nani and Lavanya Tripathi in the lead roles, supported by a talented cast including Murali Sharma, Ajay, Naresh, Sithara, and Vennela Kishore. The storyline revolves around Lucky, a scatterbrained plant scientist, who attempts to conceal his chronic memory lapses from Nandana, a kind-hearted Kuchipudi dancer with whom he is romantically involved.

The film’s title, “Bhale Bhale Magadivoy,” was inspired by a song of the same name composed by M. S. Viswanathan for K. Balachander’s 1978 Telugu film, “Maro Charitra.” Gopi Sunder was responsible for the film’s captivating soundtrack and background score. Principal photography commenced in March 2013 and concluded in July of the same year. Post-production work was swiftly completed, resulting in the movie’s wrap-up within seven months. Although the majority of the film was shot in and around Hyderabad, one of its songs was filmed in the picturesque locale of Goa.

Made with a budget estimated at around ₹7–9 crore, “Bhale Bhale Magadivoy” made its theatrical debut on September 4, 2015, gracing 700 screens worldwide. The film garnered highly favorable reviews from critics and emerged as a resounding success at the box office, amassing a global gross of over ₹50.05 crore during its theatrical run. At the time of its release, it ranked as the fourth-highest-grossing Telugu film in the history of the United States box office, where it premiered in 115 screens. The film also earned three nominations at the 63rd Filmfare Awards South, including Best Film (Telugu), Best Actor (Telugu), and the Critics Award for Best Actor (South), which Nani won. Remarkably, it was remade in Kannada as “Sundaranga Jaana” in 2016 and in Tamil as “Ghajinikanth” in 2018.
