R. Ravi Kumar

Biography:

Besant Ravi, originally named R. Ravi Kumar, is an Indian actor and stunt choreographer known for his roles as antagonists in various Indian language films, including Tamil and Hindi. He grew up in Chennai and was initially a bike mechanic. During his childhood in Besant Nagar, he often observed film shoots near his home, which acquainted him with the film industry’s professionals. Ravi has a strong background in Mixed Martial Arts and boxing. His debut in the film industry happened with the movie “Lucky Man.”

Ravi’s introduction to cinema occurred with a solo stunt in the film “Lucky Man.” He later received formal training in the film industry under stunt master Pandiyan. His career began as a fighter in action scenes, but he gradually transitioned into acting, particularly in action-oriented roles. Notably, he was part of Director S. Shankar’s project “Mudhalvan.”
