TheatreSaravana, often written Saravanaa, is a 2006 action romance film from India that was helmed by K. S. Ravikumar. Prakash Raj, Jyothika, Vivek, Five Star Krishna, and Silambarasan are among its stars.
Srikanth Deva created the soundtrack for the film, which was produced by Deivanai Movies. It’s a reimagining of the Telugu movie Bhadra from 2005. When Saravana was released on January 14, 2006, it was a box office hit and coincided with Pongal.
Plot
“Saravana” is a Tamil-language film released in 2006, directed by K. S. Ravikumar. The movie stars Silambarasan (Simbu) and Jyothika in the lead roles. Here’s a detailed plot summary
Saravana (Silambarasan) is a carefree young man living in Chennai. He falls in love with a beautiful girl named Sadhana (Jyothika) who is the sister of his best friend Chandran (Krishna). However, Saravana keeps his feelings a secret because he does not want to jeopardize his friendship with Chandran.
The movie opens with Saravana arriving at Sadhana’s home in Madurai for a visit. Unbeknownst to the family, Saravana has an ulterior motive: to take Sadhana away from the constant threat posed by a rival family that has a long-standing feud with her family.
Saravana recalls his first encounter with Sadhana during a festival in their village. They start off on the wrong foot but gradually become friends. Chandran invites Saravana to their house for a stay, and during this period, Saravana’s affection for Sadhana deepens.
In the background, the feud between Sadhana’s family and the rival family intensifies. The rival family’s leader, Sakthivel Gounder (Prakash Raj), is determined to wipe out Sadhana’s family. During a fierce confrontation, Saravana protects Sadhana and her family with his bravery and fighting skills.
Saravana’s plan is to take Sadhana back to Chennai, away from the danger. However, things don’t go as planned when Sadhana discovers the truth about Saravana’s feelings for her and his intention to protect her. She is initially furious but later understands his love and concern.
In the climax, Saravana faces off against Sakthivel Gounder and his goons in a final showdown. With his determination and combat prowess, Saravana manages to defeat the antagonists and save Sadhana’s family.
The movie ends with Saravana and Sadhana expressing their love for each other, receiving the blessings of Sadhana’s family. They leave behind the violence and start a new life together in Chennai.
