Singamuthu, born on December 8, 1958, is an Indian actor known for his comedic roles in Tamil language films. His acting career took off with his debut in “Neram Nalla Irukku” in 1987, where he played supporting roles and gradually established himself as a comedian in the industry. He often shared the screen with the popular comedian Vadivelu, and together, they created numerous hilarious comedy scenes in Tamil movies.

However, Singamuthu’s career was marred by controversy in 2010 when Vadivelu accused him of forgery and financial cheating. Vadivelu had purchased land from Singamuthu, only to discover that the documents related to the transaction were invalid. This led Vadivelu to take legal action against his former friend. Additionally, in May 2010, Singamuthu was arrested for assaulting Vadivelu’s assistant, Shankar. He was eventually released after spending three days in jail. Later investigations revealed that both Vadivelu and Singamuthu had fallen victim to a dishonest salesman who had illegally sold them the land in question.
