Rohit Saraf

Biography:

Rohit Suresh Saraf, born 8 December 1996, is a model and actor who predominantly works in Hindi movies and series. Saraf was born in Kathmandu, Nepal but moved back to Delhi and then Mumbai when he started modelling.

Saraf began his acting career with several TV shows, including Channel V’s teen drama Best Friends Forever? (3 December 2012, to 25 May 2013) which was a spinoff of the US TV series Pretty Little Liars. He made his film debut in the coming-of-age film Dear Zindagi (2016) starring alongside Alia Bhatt as the protagonist Kaira’s younger brother Kiddo. Rohit Saraf went on to play the cousin of the lead character in the Norwegian drama What Will People Say. The drama was selected as the Norwegian Entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards.

Saraf starred in Yash Raj Films’ comedy-drama Hichki in 2018 alongside Rani Mukherjee as Akshay, one of the students of class 9A, who serve as a foil for the students of class 9F. He then played Ishaan ‘Giraffe’ Chaudhary, the eldest son of Aditi and Niren Chaudhary in the biographical romantic comedy-drama The Sky is Pink (2019). Many reviews applauded Saraf for his performance in the film.

In 2020, Saraf began starring alongside Prajakta Koli in the Netflix romantic drama series Mismatched, adapted from Sandhya Menon’s 2017 novel When Dimple Met Rishi. Saraf played the hopeless romantic Rishi and received applause for his refreshing performance in the series.

Saraf also starred in the Tamil romantic drama Kamali From Nadukkaveri (2021) and also appeared in Vikram Vedha (2022) as Hrithik Roshan’s younger brother.
