Plot:
Chitti and Bujji have been friends since they were young children, and they get along. After a disagreement, Chitti orders Bujji to leave the room and never come back. When he begs her, she tells him that if he stays away from her for a period of twelve years, she will marry him. Bujji, who is heartbroken, unwillingly decides to avoid her and relocates to Chennai in order to do so. In the meantime, Bujji’s family is completely cut off when Chitti’s family relocates to Hyderabad.
Bujji develops into a hooligan as he gets older in Chennai, yet he still retains his sweet personality and his affection for Chitti. He goes back to see Chitti after a twelve-year absence but gets involved in a fight and is imprisoned. He meets Machi Reddy’s sons there, who make him an offer of one crore to assassinate Sivanna. While agreeing to save money for his future marriage, Bujji is hurt while attempting to kill Sivanna. Sivanna invites him to remain with him for a while after being moved by his purity and innocence. As Rajinikanth, Bujji’s favorite actor, he resides there.
Later, Bujji runs upon Meghana, who goes by the name Chitti, the sister of Sivanna. Bujji is unable to identify her as Chitti, though. When Bujji finally realizes Meghana was truly Chitti, he tries to tell her, but Sivanna stops him, claiming Meghana would only stay with him until she finds Bujji because she actually despises her brother because he was accountable for the death of his first wife. When Machi Reddy finds out that Sivanna is a member of her gang, his boys kidnap Kangana, Sivanna’s second sister, and demand to be exchanged for Sivanna. They also shoot Chitti.
Bujji is sent by Chitti to save Sivanna. Machi Reddy and his thugs are vanquished by Bujji and Sivanna. Despite being hurt, Sivanna lives. He queries Bujji and Chitti about the nature of their childhood argument after he has recovered. According to Bujji, Chitti once constructed a sand temple with a stone as a representation for her God on the beach, but Bujji destroyed it, which infuriated Chitti. Chitti is shown living with Sivanna and reunited with Bujji in the movie’s epilogue.
