Biography:

Shanvi Srivastava, born on December 8, 1993, is a prominent Indian actress and model renowned for her work primarily in Kannada cinema, alongside appearances in select Telugu and Malayalam films. Her entry into Marathi cinema is slated for 2023 with the film “Raanti.”

Hailing from Varanasi, Srivastava pursued her schooling at Children College in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and later earned her B.Com degree from Mumbai’s Thakur College of Science and Commerce in 2016. Growing up, she was part of a family with an elder brother and sister, Vidisha, who is also an actress.

Her acting journey commenced in 2012 with the film “Lovely” directed by B. Jaya, marking her debut while she was still a student. Her standout performance in her second Telugu movie, “Adda,” portraying a fashion designing student, garnered praise from critics and audiences alike. Her role in “Rowdy,” directed by Ram Gopal Varma, as Vishnu Manchu’s romantic interest, further showcased her talent.

The year 2014 marked her entry into Kannada cinema with the horror comedy “Chandralekha,” where she received acclaim for her acting prowess. Notably, her performance in “Masterpiece” in 2015 earned her nominations at the Filmfare Awards and won her the South Indian International Movie Award.

Srivastava expanded her horizons by venturing into international territory, making her debut in the Chinese drama series “Ye Tian Zi” (The Dark Lord) in 2018. Notably, she learned Chinese for the role, beating out the initial choice of Sunny Leone.

In 2019, she appeared in significant Kannada films like “Avane Srimannarayana” and “Geetha,” the latter being her first Kannada film where her voice was dubbed.

Her talent and charm were acknowledged when she was ranked 20th in The Times’ list of Most Desirable Women in 2019.
