Story:

“Annavaram” is a 2006 Indian Telugu-language action drama film directed by Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao, featuring Pawan Kalyan, Asin, and Sandhya in prominent roles. Produced by Megaa Super Good Films, it’s a remake of the Tamil film “Thirupaachi” and was released on December 29, 2006. The film’s soundtrack, which received mixed reviews, was released on December 14, 2006.

The story revolves around Annavaram, a blacksmith living in a remote village near Annavaram, and his lovable sister, Varam. Annavaram embarks on a mission to ensure his sister’s happiness after her marriage, taking her to Hyderabad, where he falls in love with Aishwarya.

However, Annavaram’s journey takes a dark turn when he encounters the criminal underworld of Hyderabad. He saves a court witness from Tappas Balu, a powerful crime lord in central Hyderabad, and becomes aware of Gutkha Pandu, who controls the north, causing trouble for Varam’s husband’s canteen business. Tragedy strikes when Annavaram’s friend Narasimha is murdered by Puranapool Ganga, a ruthless thug who dominates the south and is Gutkha Pandu’s elder brother. This prompts Annavaram to embark on a secret mission in Hyderabad.

Under the alias ‘Pothuraju,’ Annavaram takes on the criminal network. He challenges ACP J. D. Yadav to uphold the law, and when Yadav fails, Annavaram takes matters into his own hands. With the help of Sairam, a police inspector, Annavaram gathers information on the mafia’s leaders and begins eliminating them one by one.

Annavaram’s actions set off a chain of events leading to a showdown with Ganga, who seeks protection from a mass gang of thugs. Annavaram skillfully manipulates a confrontation between the police and the mafia. Disguised as a police officer, he infiltrates Ganga’s stronghold and ends the criminal’s reign just before the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve.

In the end, Annavaram’s mission is accomplished, and he reunites with Aishwarya and his family. The film showcases his transformation from a simple blacksmith to a vigilante, standing up for justice and taking on the city’s underworld, all in the name of love and family.
