Plot
The Kovai Group, a Coimbatore-based fabric manufacturing company, has Vasudevan “Vasu” as its heir. Owing to a miscommunication, Rajalakshmi, Vasu’s mother and the matriarch of their joint family, disowns him. Years later, Vasu works as a moneylender and has a regular life with his buddies Pandi and Kutti Puli.
It’s during this time that he develops feelings for Divya, a wealthy woman. In a theater, Vasu protects ASP Sivakkozhundhu, who has just been moved, and his spouse from a gang of murderous North Indians who are employed by Pollachi-based businessman and hitman Anna Thandavam. Sivakkozhundhu was transferred to look into a client case for Anna Thandavam.
Additionally, Anna Thandavam intends to unlawfully seize land intended for a local temple that Vasu’s late father Rathnaswamy meant to donate. Vasu and Anna Thandavam get enmityful because of these two incidences. Following the official donation of the land to the temple, a furious Anna Thandavam gives his goons orders to attack Vasu’s uncle Ramaswamy.
After realizing her error in misinterpreting Vasu, Rajalakshmi gets back in touch with him. After learning about the incident, Vasu fractures his hand and thrashes the goons of Anna Thandavam. When Anna Thandavam tries to attack Vasu, he viciously beats him in front of the public, and the video goes viral on the internet.
Vasu, with the help of Sivakkozhundhu and Divya, stops Anna Thandavam from trying to kill his family by apprehending the killers from North India, which results in an arrest warrant for Anna Thandavam. With a poisoned knife, Anna Thandavam’s second wife murders Rajalakshmi during the temple festival, and Anna Thandavam immediately leaves for Patna.
When Vasu finds out about Rajalakshmi’s passing, he immediately travels to Patna to find Anna Thandavam and his hitman companion Rai Bahadur. There, he brutally ends both of them in order to get revenge on Rajalakshmi. Vasu goes back to his family’s house to grieve Rajalakshmi’s passing.
