Biography:

O. A. K. Sundar is an Indian actor renowned for his work in Tamil cinema and television, where he has gained recognition for his antagonistic roles. Born on January 3, 1970, he made his film debut with “Nadodi Pattukkaran” in 1992 and subsequently appeared in supporting roles in several films, including “Virumaandi” (2004) and “Naan Avanillai” (2007). His performance in the movie “Nellu” (2010) received critical acclaim, with one critic highlighting his exceptional portrayal.

Sundar’s television career has also been notable, as he played the lead role in the series “Romapuri Pandian” and portrayed the character of Bhisma in “Mahabharatam.” His portrayal of Bheeshma in the latter gained significant recognition. Despite a successful television career, Sundar eventually shifted his focus back to films, where he has excelled in negative character roles. Some of his notable antagonistic performances include “Kidaari” (2016), “Saamy Square” (2018), and “Rocky: The Revenge” (2019).

Notably, O. A. K. Sundar is the son of the Indian actor O. A. K. Thevar, who also gained fame for portraying negative roles in several films. In 2006, Sundar married Loganayaki, and the couple has a son named Aadhishankar. An interesting incident from his career includes being mistaken for Osama bin Laden while shooting for the film “Vaadaa” (2010) in Rishikesh, leading to an encounter with the Indian Army due to his resemblance in costume.
