Sithara is an Indian actress best known for her roles in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam movies. With Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal by K. Balachander, she made her Tamil debut in 1989. She is most known for her roles in blockbuster movies like Pudhu Vasantham, Halunda Tavaru, and Padayappa. She is renowned for her television work as well.
She has played a range of parts in more than a hundred films over the course of a thirty-seven year cinematic career. Srimanthudu, Shankaraabharanm, and Bhale Bhale Magadivoy are some of her most recent Telugu successes.[Reference needed
With the Tamil film Nagesh Thiraiyarangam, directed by Guinness World Records holder Isaq, Sithara made a comeback.
Sithara was born in Kilimanoor as the oldest of Parameshwaran Nair and Valsala Nair’s three children. Her mother was an officer in the Electricity Board, while her father, Parameshwaran Nair, was an engineer there. Pratheesh and Abhilash, her two younger brothers, are her family. She attended Vattappara’s Lourdes Mount School. When she appeared in her first film, Kaveri (1986), she was pursuing a pre-university certification at Sree Sankara Vidyapeetom College in Kilimanoor.
