Story:

Manorathangal is a drama anthology in Malayalam language that brings to screen adaptations of nine famous short stories penned by the legendary writer M. T. Vasudevan Nair by nine renowned directors. Each independent episode focuses on deeply human emotions dealing with themes of love, sorrow, relationships within a family, loneliness, sacrifice, redemption and difficulties of relations within the framework of Kerala’s cultural context and social changes. While each story is independent, there is a connection between all of them as far as the writer’s unique narrative style and realistic depiction of common people is concerned. Presented in voice-over narrated by Kamal Haasan with participation of the best Indian actors, Manorathangal is an emotional tribute to literature and cinema.
