Priyadarshan is an Indian film director and screenwriter who was born on January 30, 1957. He primarily works in Hindi and Malayalam cinema. With his early Malayalam films, he was among the first Indian directors to employ rich colour grading, crisp sound, and excellent dubbing.
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Priyadarshan was involved in Malayalam cinema, having started his career in the early 1980s. He relocated to Bollywood in the early 2000s and stayed busy there for the duration of the decade.In his professional career, he has won three National Awards. Relocating to Malayalam cinema, he declared in 2013 that Rangrezz will be his final Hindi feature for some time. Thenmavin Kombath, Kaalapaani, Abhimanyu, Mithunam, Kilukkam, Thalavattam, Vellanakalude Nadu, Chithram, Vandanam, and Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu are some of his most well-known films.
Priyadarshan attended Government Model School in Trivandrum for his early schooling, and University College Trivandrum awarded him a Master of Arts in Philosophy. Priyadarshan’s father was a college librarian, which encouraged him to pursue a love of reading. In his adolescence, he read a lot, and while in college, he began penning skits and short plays for All India Radio. The films made by P. Venu had an impact on him. Mohanlal, M. G. Sreekumar, Suresh Kumar, Sanal Kumar, Jagadish, Maniyanpilla Raju, and Ashok Kumar were few of his pals back then. At that time, Mohanlal started acting in films. His pals trailed him to Chennai in hopes of getting a role in a movie.
