Shriya Pilgaonkar is an Indian actress and filmmaker known for her work in Hindi films and web series. Born on April 25, 1989, in Mumbai to renowned actors Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar, she ventured into acting with the Marathi film “Ekulti Ek” in 2013, winning the Best Debut Actress at the Maharashtra State Film Awards.
After her Hindi film debut in “Fan” (2016), Pilgaonkar gained recognition for her roles in successful web series like “Mirzapur” (2018), “Guilty Minds,” “The Broken News,” and “Taaza Khabar” (all in 2022). Her performance in “Guilty Minds” earned her a nomination for Best Actress – Drama Series at the Filmfare OTT Awards. Apart from acting, she has directed plays as well.
In her early days, Pilgaonkar trained as a swimmer and studied Sociology at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Her acting journey began at the age of five on television in the show “Tu Tu Main Main.” She made her big-screen debut in the Marathi film “Ekulti Ek,” which was directed by her father. Following this success, she appeared in plays and the French film “Un plus une.”
