Vaishali Samant, born on April 25, 1974, in Maharashtra, India, is an accomplished Indian music composer, lyricist, and playback singer primarily recognized for her contributions to the Marathi film and music industry. Beyond Marathi, she has showcased her talent in various languages like Bengali, Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Assamese, Tamil, and Telugu, having sung over 2000 songs in Marathi alone.

Her impressive career includes collaborations with renowned music composers such as A. R. Rahman, contributing to movies like “Lagaan,” “Taal,” and “Saathiya.” In Bollywood, she lent her voice to films such as “Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav,” “Girlfriend,” “Malamaal Weekly,” “Traffic Signal,” among others. Notably, her song “Chalka Re” from “Saathiya” composed by A. R. Rahman stands out as one of her most renowned works.
