Ratanlal Bhagatram Choudary is an Indian film producer known for his extensive work across various film industries, primarily in Tamil and Telugu, but also with contributions to Malayalam and Hindi cinema. He is notably recognized as the founder of the production company Super Good Films.
Choudary’s professional journey began with a background in a Rajasthani family. Prior to venturing into film production, he was involved in industries such as steel, exports, and jewellery. His initial foray into producing films was in the Malayalam film industry, where he released several movies under the banner “Super.” Subsequently, in 1989, he made his entry into the Tamil film industry.
Collaborating with R. Mohan, who was known for producing “Good Knight” mosquito mats, they jointly produced films under the “Super” banner. Following their decision to go their separate ways, Choudary creatively transformed the name by borrowing elements from “Good Knight” to establish “Super Good Films.”
On the personal front, Choudary is married to Mahjabeen, who is of Tamil descent. Notably, both of Choudary’s sons, Jiiva and Jithan Ramesh, have pursued careers as actors in the film industry.
