Kingston Movie Story: Though Thovathur is a village near the sea, the fishermen there are unable to go fishing. Instead, they struggle to survive by working as laborers. Those who venture into the sea never return alive. The reason behind this mystery is a long and dark tale.

King (G. V. Prakash Kumar) is involved in smuggling and enjoys life with his friends using the money he makes. However, through a painful experience, he realizes that what they have been smuggling isn’t just sea leeches but dangerous drugs. Who is behind all this? Why can’t the people of Thovathur enter the sea? How does King break this curse? That forms the gripping storyline of Kingston.

Performances: G. V. Prakash Kumar delivers a solid performance as a tough young fisherman, showcasing good variations in his role. He shines particularly in the interval bang and pre-climax with impressive acting. Though Divya Bharathi appears in only a few scenes, she adds a touch of glamour to the film.

Chetan impressed with a strong character and a unique screen presence. N. Azhagam Perumal gets a well-written role and makes a mark beyond just a supporting character. The comedy from the friend characters works to some extent, while the villains deliver decent performances.
