Rowdy Inspector

Story:

Directed by B. Gopal and produced by T. Trivikrama Rao under the banner of Vijayalakshmi Art Pictures, Rowdy Inspector is a 1992 Telugu action movie. Starring are Vijayashanti, Jaggayya, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Captain Raju, and Kota Srinivasa Rao. Bappi Lahiri wrote the soundtrack.
With Senthil playing a comedic role in a subplot, the movie was dubbed in Tamil as Auto Rani.

Home Minister Karanam Kaasiah and the SP help Inspector Ramaraju in his feud with criminal lord Bobarlanka Ramabrahmam, who rules regions with an iron grip. Ramaraju’s grandmother gets stabbed by Ramabrahmam’s goons, but Ramaraju fights them up and, fortunately, saves her with the aid of Gandhi’s college lecturer, his younger brother. After some time, Rakhi, a local criminal, and Ramabrahmam’s brother Narasimham are taken into custody by Ramaraju for the murder of Kanaka, a police policeman.

Rakhi and his brother are set free by Ramabrahmam’s henchmen. Ramaraju tries to shoot Rakhi, but as Rakhi tries to get away from him, he unintentionally shoots a college lecturer who saved his grandma. The lecturer’s mother Parvathamma forbids Ramaraju from staying in their home, even though he attempts to explain that it was an accident and that they consider him to be their son. When Ramabrahmam’s thugs attack the lecturer’s family one day, Gandhi is persuaded to order Ramaraju’s suspension from the police force. As the thugs surrender, Ramaraju saves the family and informs Gandhi that Ramaraju’s suspension was the result of a plot, not their loss over their lecturer’s passing.

Ramaraju is pardoned by Parvathamma, who regards him as her son. Ramaraju arranges for the son of D.I.G. Jagannath Rao to wed Girija, the daughter of Parvathamma. When Rakhi phones Narasimham to let him know where he is, Ramabrahmam wants Rakhi dead because he thinks Rakhi might be in danger. Instead of killing Rakhi, they send a vehicle and murder an innocent man. One day, L.K. Balu informs Ramaraju that Rakhi has been located and that he has just driven him to his flat in his car. Rakhi is there when Ramaraju visits the flat building. The S.P. shows up and kills Rakhi with a gunshot just as Ramaraju is going to arrest him.
