TheatreKGF: Chapter 2 is an Indian Kannada-language period action movie from 2022 that is produced by Hombale Films’ Vijay Kiragandur and written and directed by Prashanth Neel. It is a continuation of the 2018 movie KGF: Chapter 1 and the second of a three-part series. Ayyappa P. Sharma, Saran Shakti, Easwari Rao, John Kokken, T.S. Nagabharana, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj, Achyuth Kumar, Rao Ramesh, Vasishta N. Simha, Ayyappa P. Sharma, Archana Jois, and Malavika Avinash are among the ensemble cast members that feature in the movie.
K.G.F: Chapter 2 is the most costly Kannada film ever produced, with a ₹100 crore budget. With Ravi Basrur writing the soundtrack and songs and Bhuvan Gowda handling cinematography, Neel kept the technicians from its predecessor.
Early in 2019, Dutt and Tandon (the former in his first Kannada film) joined the cast. A portion of the movie was filmed concurrently with Chapter 1. The COVID-19 lockdown in India caused the principal photography for the remaining sequences to end in February 2020, although it had started in March 2019. Five months later, filming got again underway, and it was finished in December 2020. Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mysore, and Kolar were among the locations.
KGF: Chapter 2 was dubbed into Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam and premiered in Kannada theaters on April 14, 2022 in India. It’s also the first Kannada movie to be shown in an IMAX theater.Critics gave the movie varying ratings. It set domestic opening day records in Kannada and had the second-highest opening day in India.
Hindi and Malayalam, and it became the highest-grossing Kannada film in just two days by surpassing the lifetime gross of its predecessor. K.G.F: Chapter 2 is the second highest-grossing Indian film in India and the fourth highest-grossing Indian film worldwide, having made between ₹1,200 and ₹1,250 crore.
Following Anand Ingalagi’s stroke, his son Vijayendra Ingalagi takes over as the storyteller, going over what happened in KGF: Chapter 1.
In order to get the support of Guru Pandian, Andrews, Kamal, and Rajendra Desai, Rocky kills the apparent heir Virat and seizes control of the Kolar Gold Fields while holding Reena captive. But Kamal becomes furious and threatens to murder Rocky when Rocky acts haughty and makes fun of Reena.
