Biography:

Malavika Avinash, born on January 28, 1976, is a notable figure in India, recognized for her roles as an actress, television host, spokesperson, and politician. She is presently the State spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka. Renowned for her contributions in Kannada and Tamil cinema, she gained prominence as the host of the television show “Baduku Jataka Bandi” on Zee Kannada. Notably, she has been part of the ensemble cast in the blockbuster Kannada movie “K.G.F: Chapter 2.”

Coming from a Tamil family, Malavika was born to N. Ganesan, a banker and writer, and Savithri, a vocalist and dancer. She received classical arts training in Bharatanatyam and the sitar from renowned artists. Her acting journey began as a child artist, and she emerged as a lead actress in acclaimed Malayalam and Kannada films. However, television became her primary platform, where her performances in series like “Mayamruga” and “Anni” garnered immense recognition.

In the realm of Tamil entertainment, Malavika’s roles in television series like “Raja Rajeshwari” and films such as “Nilavai Pidippom” and “Arasi” showcased her versatility. Her portrayal of Nanjamma in the film adaptation of S. L. Bhyrappa’s novel “Gruha Banga” was widely acclaimed. Beyond acting, she hosted TV shows like “Agni” and “Baduku Jataka Bandi,” the latter addressing familial disputes and social issues. She even participated in “Bigg Boss Kannada Season 4.”

Malavika’s career extended to the political and journalistic domains as well. She joined the BJP, serving as a spokesperson and actively participating in campaigns. She displayed her journalistic skills through columns in various publications and served as the head of programming at Zee Kannada. Additionally, her passion for Bharatanatyam led her to promote the art form through TV shows, dance festivals, and as a judge on dance competition series. Overall, Malavika Avinash’s diverse contributions have established her as a dynamic and influential personality in the entertainment, political, and cultural spheres.
