Ayyappa P. Sharma made his debut as a writer and director in the entertainment sector in 1996. He began his career as a filmmaker in 1997 at Jyothi Movie Makers in Hyderabad, where he spent 10 months. He co-produced and directed the Telugu movie “Eswar Allah,” which won a Nandi Award, in 1998. He contributed to numerous Kannada films, including Varadhanayaka (2013), Veera (2013), and Durgada Huli (2000).
He served as the Movie Artists Association’s Executive Vice President in Hyderabad from 2006 to 2007. He oversaw many TV serials while serving as director at Sonopix Productions Private Ltd from May 2008 until November 2009. He served as the director for Eagle Entertainers in Chennai for a considerable period of time.
He made his acting debut in the 2003 Kannada romantic-action drama film “Partha,” in which he played Kitty. Later, he worked on other films. He has got the Nandi Award – Sarojini Award Film on National Integration (1998) for the movie Eswar Allah. He received the Bronze Nandi Award in 1998 for Best Film Director in National Integration.
He became well-known for his roles as Vanaram in the well-liked pan-Indian film sequels K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2018) and K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022). Rocky, a prominent assassin in Mumbai who was born into poverty, is the main character of the movie series. The successor to Kolar Gold Fields, Garuda, is the target of Rocky’s mission in the movie, and Vanaram, Garuda’s commander and bodyguard, takes on the role of defending Rocky. He plays Veerappa Nayaka, one of the antagonists, in the 2019 Kannada action-drama movie “Bharaate.” He appeared in the movie alongside his brothers P. Sai Kumar and P. Ravi Shankar, who played Ballala and Pallava, respectively, as the antagonists. Ayyappa portrayed Prachanda, a Tantrik, in the action drama movie “Akhanda” in 2021, which was made in India’s Telugu language.
Additionally, he has directed films for Vistarah Transmedia Private Ltd., Varadhanayaka (2013), Shankar Productions, and Eagle Entertainers in Chennai. He played with the Telugu Warriors in the Celebrity Cricket competition, an amateur men’s cricket competition, from 2010 to 2012.
