Aditya Kashyap comes from a rich but dysfunctional household. He impulsively leaves a business meeting and takes a random train leaving the city, depressed at the breakup with his lover. On the train, he meets Geet Dhillon, a lively young woman who can’t stop chatting. Aditya gets off at a station in the middle of the night, exhausted by her incessant chattering, but Geet follows him. They are both left behind while they try to get him back aboard. Geet demands that Aditya go with her to her house in Bhatinda, accusing him of causing the mess.
Aditya’s despondency is lifted by Geet’s companionship during the trip. He begins to develop feelings for her after learning that Geet intends to elope with her boyfriend, Anshuman. Geet and Aditya finally make it to Bhatinda after spending several days together. Aditya is regarded as Geet’s boyfriend at her Bhatinda home. Since Geet’s family had already considered getting Geet married to her childhood buddy, she complies since she doesn’t want her to be fixed up with someone else. Eventually, one evening, Geet and Aditya leave their house and travel to Manali, where Anshuman resides. Aditya says goodbye to her and heads back to Mumbai.
Aditya’s life has altered as a result of the trip, and he is now more optimistic. He makes amends with his estranged mother and introduces a new Geet-themed product for his business. He eventually grows fond of Geet since he believes she is the one who added color to his already completed life. However, one day when things was going well, Geet’s family paid Aditya a visit at his workplace and said she had gone missing. Aditya goes back to Manali in search of Geet. There, he finds out that Anshuman had no intention of marrying her and had turned her down when she unexpectedly appeared at his door.
In Shimla, Aditya discovers Geet, who is now a schoolteacher living a solitary existence. After a wretched nine months, Aditya tries to help her rediscover her optimistic view on life, but surprisingly, Anshuman arrives to start again with Geet. The three go to Bhatinda, where Aditya is welcomed as Geet’s boyfriend/husband by her family. In front of family and friends, they intend to get married, and Geet neglects to let them know that she is seeing Anshuman. Geet eventually comes to the realization that she loves Aditya. She drives Anshuman out of her life by kissing him in front of him. With the approval of their families, Geet marries Aditya.
