Lokesh Kanagaraj has made his acting debut with DC. Directed by Arun Matheswaran, the film stars Wamiqa Gabbi as the female lead, with music by Anirudh and production by Sun Pictures.

Released in Telugu and Tamil on August 7th, DC received positive talk on its first day and opened well at the box office. The second day saw even better collections than the opening day.

DC had a Telugu theatrical business of Rs. 2.5 crore and needed Rs. 3 crore share for break-even. The film collected Rs. 4.58 crore share and Rs. 8.1 crore gross in its first weekend. It has already crossed break-even and delivered Rs. 1.58 crore profit to buyers.
