Plot
In a Rayalaseema village, ongoing violence between the Bharatasimha Reddy and Veera Siva Reddy clans results in casualties on both sides. To quell the conflict, a police inspector proposes a union between Bharatasimha Reddy’s brother, Vijayasimha Reddy, and Siva Reddy’s sister. Unfortunately, the plan goes awry when, following the wedding, Siva Reddy’s sister poisons Vijayasimha Reddy’s milk, leading to both their deaths. In retaliation, Siva Reddy and his men kill Bharatasimha. Siva Reddy is arrested and sentenced to 14 years in prison.
With both brothers deceased and no adult male willing to lead the clans, Bharatasimha’s son, Indrasena ‘Indra’ Reddy, steps forward at the urging of his grandmother. In 2002 Varanasi, Shankar Narayana, a truthful taxi driver and boat owner, crosses paths with Pallavi, the daughter of Uttar Pradesh’s governor. Pallavi falls in love with Shankar, pretending to be an orphan living in his home. When Chenna Kesava Reddy, Pallavi’s father, discovers this, he initially plans an attack but later requests Shankar to marry Pallavi. However, Shankar declines due to his responsibility to get his niece Nandhini married.
Giri, Shankar’s right-hand man, confesses his feelings for Nandhini. Despite arranging their marriage, Snehalatha Reddy reveals Giri is Veera Manohar Reddy, Siva Reddy’s son, and exposes Shankar as Indrasena Reddy. Indra’s adoptive family is puzzled, and Valmiki, thought to be mute, narrates Indra’s past. Indra, respected in his village, arranged a ritual to bring rain during a drought. Siva Reddy, released from prison, instigated Indra, leading to a confrontation where Indra had to kill him. Snehalatha, Siva Reddy’s daughter, returned from the United States, and Veera Shankar Reddy sought revenge. Indra saved Veera Shankar Reddy’s son, but the latter killed his own son out of false pride.
Enraged, Indra confronts Veera Shankar Reddy, demanding justice. Indra buries the boy in front of Veera Shankar Reddy’s home, planting a Tulasi sapling over the grave. Snehalatha, moved by Indra’s actions, falls in love with him. Learning of the drought, Indra consults Chenna Kesava Reddy, who reveals the need for Siva Reddy’s family’s land to build a reservoir. Indra agrees to give up his property, and Snehalatha requests him to marry her as compensation. Indra reciprocates after realizing her genuine love. During the wedding, Veera Shankar Reddy orchestrates a bomb blast, orphaning Nandhini and her brother Pradip. Indra avenges the murders, stabbing Veera Shankar Reddy.
In the present, Nandhini, pregnant with Manohar Reddy’s child, attempts suicide. Indra returns to his village, receives support, and confronts Veera Shankar Reddy. He insists Manohar Reddy marries Nandhini. Snehalatha discovers the truth about her brothers’ actions and regrets misunderstanding Indra. She tries to reconcile, but is attacked. Indra intervenes, defeating the assailants but spares Veera Shankar Reddy to end the cycle of revenge. Manohar Reddy marries Nandhini, while Snehalatha and Pallavi unsuccessfully try to convince Indra to marry them. The film concludes with Indra, committed to ending the Rayalaseema conflict, refusing to be swayed from his duty by marriage and family.
